A Cleaner World? Let’s Make It Together.

cropped-peach-logo.jpg What do people all over the world have in common? We all deal with dirt, mess, and general dusty-ness. I have taken a trip to some very special places and learned some very special techniques to crazy-clean your home.

The first place we visit is the amazing land of Africa for a sweeping good lesson.

African Broom

Then we’re off to Asia (China to be exact). Who knew about bamboo scrubbers? Not this girl!

Panda

Then it’s Mexico here we come – to learn how to fend off ghosts (what?).

And our last stop is Mother Russia for the moral of the story.

Can we bring about world peace by learning cleaning techniques from each other? Well, when we all come together, nothing is impossible. Enjoy the Video!

Keep It Peachy!

Wait, What?

Hey everyone, Peach Logo this entry is about forgetting and remembering. We all forget things don’t we? Well, some of us more so than others. As for me, I can remember things from my early childhood, song lyrics, TV characters…but not the items on my grocery list or my grocery list for that matter.

Yesterday I was at a job and I “remembered” to clean under the buttons on the range. Yeah, I was pretty proud about that. I even took a picture! Whoop, whoop!

Yeah, I know I’m awesome. You would be surprised at how dirty it can get under there. Making dirty things clean…oh, so satisfying. So forgetting to clean things…I made a video about it, wanna see it? Well, here it go…

Also, please excuse the poor quality of this footage. The production on some of these vids. isn’t the greatest. I shot and edited this one a while back on my phone (it looks it too, I know) :). This is one of the first video’s I did when I started my YouTube Channel. Hey, ya gotta start somewhere right?

Well hopefully, what I’m missing in visual quality can be made up with content quality. I’m trying to catch my blog up with my channel. So I can be more consistent over time.

Are there some things in life you’ve been forgetting about lately? How would you know right? You forgot them. Well if this post jogs your memory, tell me about it!

Keep it Peachy!

Recipe:
1 c. Borax
1 c. Washing soda
1/2 c. Epsom Salt
10 (approx) Tbsp of lemon juice
8 drops lavender essential oil

Combine everything except lemon juice and mix. Then, add lemon juice one Tbsp at a time until mixture is the consistency of wet sand. Pack into an ice cube tray and wait about 4 hours (I just let them sit overnight). When they’re dry, pop them out and put in your favorite container. There you have it – they are the best!

Take a Bow

Well, well, well I could hardly wait yesterday to cut my first batch of cold process soap. I had such a great time making it and it looked great going into the mold it just had to be a success, right? Right? WRONG. Ugh…take a bow Michelle, you have won the award for worst soap maker! Take a gander at this calamity:

Messy soap.PNG

Yep that’s right, epic fail. But hey, I’m a glass-half-full type of lady. So I plan to let this cure for the normal 6 -8 weeks and if it doesn’t work as soap, I can shred it up and use it as homemade laundry detergent.

An oops is always better than a what if!

Much lover, Michelle
