Isn’t There a Little Freak in Us All?
Don’t you hate when you’ve got something to clean, but you just can’t find the right tool for the job? Don’t let these items taunt and mock you! Show them who’s boss. As a professional cleaner, I know that cleanliness improves everyone’s quality of life. So it’s important to have the right tools for the job. They don’t have to be fancy or expensive. They just need to be effective. Let’s get the lowdown on a few favorites.
There’s a saying that goes, “You know you’re an adult when…you get excited that there’s a new sponge in the sink”. In my opinion, there has never been a more true statement. This next vid is right in line with that mentality. Isn’t cleaning more fun when you’ve got a new product or tool up your sleeve? I certainly think so. Take a gander at this vid listing some handy tools and tips you must know to get your nerd on.
Here’s the Clean Scoop
Telescopic handled tools
Ok. I may be a little obsessed with these. I’m a shorty so telescoping handles just let me reach things so much easier. The wonder of these is that they can be adjusted to the exact height you need them to be. You can dust, clean showers, vacuum, and so on! So amazing…just sayin’.
2. Spin Brushes
Spin brushes are really helpful when you need to do a lot of scrubbing. At the push of a button, the job is practically done for you. The ones that come with interchangeable heads can brush, scour, and polish. Do you hands and fingers a favor and get yourself some spinning brushes today.
- Being a professional cleaner, many people have tried to sell me expensive clothes and concoctions to effectively clean glass and mirrors (confession: I even fell for some of them). The truth is, if you have a homemade glass cleaner and a newspaper, you have all you need for the lint-free, streak-free, shine you do desire. The recipe I use for my glass cleaner is here: disclaimer, I try not to use rubbing alcohol anymore. I have substituted vodka for this and it works great without that nasty smell.

A couple of my favorite DIY cleaning products (so far):
4. Essential Oils
Yes, yes I have been teased a little for my obsession with essential oils. I don’t think there is a video on my channel where they are not used. However, they are pretty cool. They’re all natural, smell great, and have so many uses. I especially love the citrus variety because they have antibacterial qualities and of course, they smell yummy. I get mine from Eden’s Garden, here’s the link but there are so many places to pick them up. Try a few today! This video is hilarious by the way. We all have to laugh at ourselves sometimes. Right?
So if ya don’t know, now ya know…why you need these tools to get your home clean just like the pros do. If you watched the video, you also know how dorky I am. Jump on the bandwagon with me. There’s no shame in letting me know what cleaning related items are floating your boat now-days. I’d love to hear about ’em.
Until next time, keep it real and stay true to yourselves. 🤓
